La Mujer del Almanzora is the largest marble sculpture in Spain made by the prestigious artist and sculptor Antonio López located in Olula del Río (Almería) in the Ibañez museum.
The elaboration of this sculpture has been a great technical challenge for the Cuellar Stone team. Its total weight is 180 tons, it is made with marble Macael white and it is made up of 82 pieces, each one from a different block. Some pieces of the sculpture weigh 3 tons. Each of these 82 pieces are different and they are all solid. The sculpture is hollow inside and the marble pieces are joined through a metallic structure installed inside. The entire manufacturing process took five months.
