These works are part of the Vision Pavilion, a space designed by the Sevillian company ICARIA Atelier and commissioned by the Expo management itself as a tribute to the vision, values and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai. The space illustrates the biography of the Sheikh as well as his decisive contribution to the development of the Emirate, going from a desert to one of the most successful cities in the world. This is made up of three halls filled with captivating exhibits. The first “Foundations and Learning” evokes the desert and His Majesty's childhood learning, introducing the roots of Dubai's history. The cladding is made up of 75 pieces of Belim Sandstone with thicknesses of up to 30 cm and weights of up to 200 Kg carved by CuellarStone master craftsmen giving life to the falcon. This falcon refers to the animal used by the original Bedouin tribes of Dubai to hunt. A video explaining His Highness's childhood, the teachings of his father in the desert and his mother at home, which laid the foundations for his commitment to the people of Dubai and the Emirates, is projected on this organic cladding.
